EDITORIAL
- All of the armed forces are very much in the news this year, the
70th Anniversary of the D Day Landings and 100 years since the start
of World War One. This is a good lead up to our own 100th Anniversary
on September 1st 2015. Preparations are of course under way with the
Squadron taking the lead on such an historic event. The Association
is as much a part of what is being planned and is being consulted
on its views and ideas. With that in mind, do take the opportunity
as you read this Newsletter to also have your say and say it EARLY
rather than later. We have nearly 200 Members, who can at the click
of a mouse make their views known. Our long term planning is on track,
with £1,000 now saved and earmarked for the Centenary Fund. You do
not need to be at the AGM, just be part of this unique event.
One of the quickest methods of broadcasting news, events gossip is
our
Blog Book.
Use has been made of this medium to post updates between Newsletters,
especially for items about XXIV Squadron that appear in the local
paper. Do try it out, give it a browse and add your own comments.
