Reunion News

Every year we have a well attended Reunion and Dinner - in recent years it has been held at RAF Lyneham, Wiltshire, the previous home of 24 Squadron and now at RAF Brize Norton from 2011 onwards. At present there are over 280 members - mostly former 24's at home and abroad, but also including Honorary or Friend members.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS FOR THE YEAR 2011 XXIV SQUADRON ASSOCIATION REUNION

Year 2011 is the Squadrons 96th Anniversary, a date that will not be lost on both past and present members of 24 Squadron.

Friday 30th September 2011

OPTIONAL INFORMAL GET TOGETHER

20:00 hrs on Option informal Evening Session @ The Woolsack Bar, Bay Tree Hotel, Burford. (This additional item on the programme is a request from the 2005 AGM and is on casual basis to be arranged outside Committee)

Saturday 1st October 2011

AGM and REUNION

10:00 to 10:55 hrs Association members gather in Coral Room, Officers Mess, RAF Brize Norton. Light refreshments.

11:00 to 11:45 hrs Association Annual General Meeting in Coral Room. Guests and non-association persons retire to Ladies Lounge.

12:00 to 12:30 Presentation by OC 24 Squadron, Execs and Association Member.

13:00 to 13:30 hrs Fork Lunch.

12:00 to 16:00 hrs Cash Bar Facilities and Light Refreshments available.

13:30 to 16:00 hrs Association members and guests are invited to take part in the following activities. Please annotate the appropriate lists in the entrance hall for the various visits in which you wish to take part. 13:30 to 16:00 hrs.

DISPLAY OF SQUADRON HISTORY, VISIT TO STATIC AIRCRAFT, TOUR OF STATION, and FLIGHT, WX permitting.

16:00 to 17:00 hrs Association members disperse.

LADIES GUEST NIGHT EVENING SOCIAL

19:30 to 20:00 - Pre-dinner drinks followed by Dinner in the Officers' Mess. Dress: Mess Kit/Dinner Jackets, Ladies appropriate evening attire, minimum mid calf length dress.

20:00 onwards - Reunion Dinner and Ladies Guest Night with serving personnel of 24 Squadron and Association Members and Guests
